17 plants in!! Doesn't mean I can take care of them. 7 are Squash. Yes, the 1502 is one of them! All plants look good. Only 1 double vine. Now, If I can only keep the Mole Crickets from eating them. Can U believe a criket 4 times the size of our CT Cickets that burrow like a mole? Gee, does nature ever stop?

Live here in FL winters now. It's fun to start early down here. Got to beat the hot summer sun. If I get back to CT in time, I can plant what I grew here. Gives you one up on crosses, but not enough time to grow them big.

Get the diary going. When did you start? I have had to cover my plant for the last 1-1/2 months because we have had a colder than normal winter/spring.

It was the best looking plant out of the 17. All are close now. Had a frost the other night that hit one plant heavy. 3 feet away from the 1502. I do not have greenhouses on. No time...I think one of your seeds to watch out for maybe the Topsfield winner, 1300 + something or other. More Roots then any of the rest. 1068 X 1225 Jutras I think. The 1068 needed that 705 Stelts. May get the Hybrd Vigor from that one. I'm looking forward to seeing how the 1068 does crossed with the Checkons seed. You added a little more 1006,(815 Anderson) Grear. That's in the 898 Knauss, too. More heavy with the 1502, more size with the Topsfield 1225 cross. Remember, size and weight are two different genes. What you need is more of both in your line. I'd cross those two this year.
