This message board, General Discussion, is about to turn over to 100,000 posts. That shows the strengths and the capability of BP.com and it's members. That is a really big count. I have never seen one single message board anywhere else reach this number. We have a great community and great members. Thank you to everyone. Only 47 more posts. Whoever it may be lets not be satisfied at stopping there. BP.com members have done amazing things with pumpkins and sharing their knowledge. Who will post the 100,000th message in General Discusion?

Even had a couple posts from that new group. What were they called? I think it was the "Russian Mafia Unknown Growers".

Lauralie, when it showed 100,000 I clicked on the latest ones and your post was the latest while the count still showed 100,000 Either way, congrats to You or to Don Young. As it is no big deal to most of the members here, I thought as you said "This truly is an awesome website! I've never seen such a continuosly active message board, chat room, and all around great site! AWESOME!!!" Wish I had something as a prize for either you or Don Y. This is a special message board.
As for all the "cheesy" and LOL and the Yeah posts, they are still posts and they usually add to whatever the topic was about. A laugh is just as important as the facts. Besides we should all LOL once in a while and we SHOULD be having fun here. I love this place and all the members. Everything I ever knew about gardening I either learned from my father or learned by myself, until I came to this site. Thanks everyone.

I frequent a lot of forums. BigPumpkins has the most polite & friendly feel of all I've ever been a part of. Here at BP we're less like acquaintences & more like a family. On the rare occasion we argue it is only because we CARE about what we're speaking about & we know each other well enough to be sincere. That's pretty cool in my book.

Call it corny if you will, but for me it is an honor to be a part of the BigPumpkinhood.

I agree that we are like family here. With some, if they would not mind I would say that we ARE family. I will never grow a large pumpkin, I do not have the space or resources to do this. Even so, Tremor, there are so many here like you that are so generous with knowledge and expertise. And if it is corny it is also an honor to be part of the BigPumpkinhood for me too.
