This should be good for clubs, weigh-offs & the "spobby" in general. We knew from a previous post that Lowe's & the Dill's had partnered up to supply consumers with AG seeds.
Check out Lowe's promo:

For what it is I like it.

One of my Scout unit's Denleaders works for Lowe's. I'll see if I can get the inside scoop on where their "weigh-off sponsorship" connections exist. If a club is looking for a possible weigh-off location, their local Lowe's might be able to help.
The GPC will reach out to help them establish their weigh-off if such a desire exists.

I went to Lowes a couple weeks ago to see if I could get dibbs on the Dill display when they were finished with it. It was gone! The seeds were placed in a display with several other pumpkin varieties. I asked the manager what happened to the display and he told me they probably threw it away.
ARRRGGGHHH!!!!! That would have made an excellent dispay in my office .

In Canada, Lowes is opening stores in Ontario in the second half of 2007. There may be opportunities to investigate in 2008.

Hey Wiz I approached Home depot Many years ago to sponsor an event here in colorado, and they basically told me to get lost, as they will not and never will sponsor a grower organization in this area or othewise. Maybe I should approach Lowes here in our area also, as they are planning two new stores here to open in the near future in my area to put the shove and push on home depot, and they may need some help expressing their patrons needs that home depot would not go for when it comes to gardening and promoting the sport of growing in general, especially pumpkins. Another one to run with hopefully approved by the Dill Folks up above and all the local growers...JK

I'd like to hear the story behind this promotion, I bet its a good one! Did the Dill's pitch the idea to Lowes or is there a grower on the inside at Lowes?
