A few weeks back, I made a generic post about seed trading and fakes. I specifically did not mention names because I was not 100% sure of my findings.

A lot of people blasted Robert Treadway for bad seed trades and not sending bubbles out. Well, today I received a bubble from Robert that was dated 12/15, about 2 months late.

I thought I would make this post because maybe some of your packages did get lost in the mail……mine did for 2 months.

Ok, I can not sit here without typing something about this fake trade thing. And before I say this Ray, I want you to know your still a good growing friend of mine and this isnt a attack on you what so ever, all i want to do is speak my mind and then Ill let this rest.

Now Ray, you started the post in the first place and alot of guys finally came up to the plate to bat for you and finally set the record straight with Roberts trading habbits and how they got the shaft from him so to speak. And there is alot of guys I know, never even post about Robert and the bad trades he made with them. But your now making Robert look like hes a saint and now these other guys with the bad trades with him look like they are ignorant by saying maybe all theres got lost to.

Ray, I have been growing going on 5 years now and only one time did I not get a seed or someone eles recieve a seed from me.
Someone sent me a seed from overseas and the only way I think I never recieved it is because it fell out of the envelope on the way over to me. And I did atleast get the envelope but not the seed,so Im not even counting this as one, but I am counting the bubble I sent to Robert that he said he never recieved from me because he had a new post office lady that didnt know what she was doing.So all these other guys Robert has traded with got lost aswell? Not a chance.

Brooks, I don't know ya but will add my 2 cents. As I said to Robert, get your crap in order. After doing alot of checking it seems the fake seeds came form else were. I have been aroud this site for longer then most think, I have traded seed with WELL known growers and never got them and had one seed I was sending down under crushed and a sorry card sent back to me.
If you have dealings with Robert talk to Robert or keep it to yourself. I'm real tired of people bashing others rather then looking for the real truth. I look for the truth before I judge, try it.

Ken, Ill say this final word, I know the truth, and its obvious that you just now started judging him compared to the two years I have known him. And this isnt about what your talking about cause I dont know anything about that seed trade or about a fake seed coming from someonme eles. This is about years of trading with people. All Im doing is saving another grower of a headache later and people like him need to be put out there. I always hear about how growers will put another grower out there if they ever get a fake or bad trade, Well, Im doing it, and doing it for alot of growers that got the shaft that has kept there mouth shut and sat back quiet, and let someone eles handle it and catch the heat for it. Light me up.

In no way am I siding on this particular issue nor am I attempting to discredit anyone but, a post date on a package is very easy to manipulate. Many a small business "owns" their own postage machines....back dating postage is simple, matter of fact, it's quite common. I've done it to cover my own butt.

I have no dog in this hunt but thought it to be fair for those that seek answers on either side of this issue.

Yes, I know it's illegal but, I have two children to feed.

I was traded a fake 1068 last spring. I have been waiting for my original seeds to get returned for about 9 months. How long should I wait before I name names....?

This site is crazy……lol. I made a generic post about seed trading and the whole thing blew up. All that I stated in this post is that I received a package from Robert that was 2 months late. This issue pertained to me and me only and I was wrong. I was wrong for even making the original post. Pretty stupid of me because I know how people jump on the bandwagon and go on and on and on………..even if it is wrong or right

Where I come from, no matter how bad the situation is or how bad you screwed up, you always try and make it right. In this situation pertaining to me and me only, I WAS WRONG

I never asked anyone to go to bat for me and I do not think I ever will, just not my style. I think I swing a pretty good bat….lol. I may be a little guy, but I have big shoulders and can take my own heat.

If others did not have the balls to state there own opinion about bad seed trades with someone, that is definitely not my problem……….actually they may be the smart ones.

If someone has a problem with someone, send them an email or just say what is on your mind and stop talking in riddles and quit beating around the bush....see how far that gets you

Peoples need to lighen up........this site is like a soap opera. I am done here.....Good luck.
