What is the earliest time to plant?It is 30's at nitetime,40's in morning,and 50's in afternoon,Well thats all that wanted to know.Thanks,pumpkinhead

After the last chance of frost. The ground should be warm as well. Unless you live in South FLA or the South West you'll have to wait awhile. AG's love 60's at night and 80's durring the day I am not 100% sure so maybe someone else can confirm this. I think AG pumpkins have a set number of growing days. I don't think you will get a bigger Pumpkin by growing earlier.

don't start your plant until after your last expected frost date unless you can protect it from frost your pumpkin matures in about 120 days so if you are planning to compete find outthe day of show subtract 120 and that is the last day you should plant in my climate i start the 1st week of may indoors then transplant into a coldframe until no chance of frost

O. I seen that people start their seeds inside on Mar.1st.Thats the date that am probaly going to unless i hear from Ken or John.Well se yalls later.
