If you had the opportunity to plant either of these seeds (but not both) which would you choose and why?

1370 why/ because it has produced more big pumpkins and also throws orange as well. plus it usually does not go light either.

1370 is ranked 3rd in averaged top 10 weight. 846 is ranked 8th in averaged top 10 weight.
1370 throws orange pumpkins with two over 1300. 846 throws orange pumpkins with none over 1200.
Like Pap said, the 846 is more likely to go light.
Grow both & pollinate the 846 with the 1370 for a unique cross.

I have planted both and love both seeds. I never had an 846 go light and my 1370 was heavy as well. If I did not have room for both I would plant the 1370 and find a neighbor to plant the 846. 2 things can happen you will have a killer cross and you might have a new growing partner. At any rate you will be able to utilize both seeds to get a cross that is very rare.

Ok, seriously I guess I did not explain myself in the right way with my origional question. Here is what I have:
1180 Daletas (898 Knauss X 846 Calai) 985 Werner (1370 Rose X 898 Knauss)
Since both seeds had the 898 in it I was attempting to get opinions on the 1370 and 846 to help determine which to plant. Only got room left for one this year. Think my question got answered though. 985 is looking good! I apologize for the confusion.

Well now it's different, depends if you want to plant a new seed or a proven one. That 1180 is a great seed, 11 over 1000#'s and 2 of those are over 1200. The 985 has the genes to be a good seed too. Me I couldn't wait to find out, it'd be the 1180. Chad
