its quite simple to build a hoop house out of a few 2x4s plus some 3/4 inch pvc , acouple heavy duty hinges, and some pvc couplings and glue.

it just depemds on the size as to how many pcs of each you need.

if it were me id start with a frame (just like a window frame say 8 ft long by 6 ft wide with a reinforcing triangle helping to hold each corner together.( inside each corner so as not to get in way of pvc hoops.)

once the frame is build to your will need 12 pcs of 8 ft pvc plus you will need to drill five 3/4 inch holes along both long sides of the frame.
( one at each end. one in middle, two more each side between center and end hoops.
connect at top with pvc four sided connector.etc as needed, and space hoops at top with spare pvc pipe.
( id also suggest securing the pvc into the frame holes with a wood screw or push pipe all the way thru the frame and put a cap on the pipe so it cant pull out of the frame).

reinforce front and back of house as needed. then, seal the hoops house plastic over the frame and connect to 2x4 frame bottom by running a piece of wood along the frame locking the plastic onto the frame.
once completer just run three hinges along one side, connect them to a 2x6 board laid flat , drill a couple holes in the 2x6 ( for rebar ,etc, to hold the house down) , and your there.
(by hinging the house on one side to a 2x6 and then securing the 2x6 you can lift or prop the greenhouse up when either working around the plant or if you just need to vent it a little without worring that it will blow away or fall over.

Take a look at Vinemans 2006 growers diary. He made some sweet hoop houses ueing pvc pipe atatched to a 2x6 at top and rebar at ground. His were huge but they can be made to any size.

Huge is good. This is one area where bigger really is better. Small cloches tend to heat up too quickly when the sun shines. They also tend to retain ammonia from manure which often causes nasty unintended side effects unless they are properly vented.
