heidi is from west sunbury. i love mapquesting towns so i just map quested you both. sunbury is 29 miles from mifflinburg and west sunbury is 200 miles.

Oh wow! I didn't even know there was a West Sunbury. I thought she lived on the west side of Sunbury. Quite a bit of mileage difference there...LOL! But still, us PA girls need to get together and grow 'em at least 50 pounds heavier than all the boys...LOL!

Actually, all us girl growers need to stick together no matter where we're from! I love a little crap-talking session every now and then LOL! I'm moving my patch this year so it's gonna be fun trying to get it ready in time but I'm up for a good challenge! Watch out boys, here we come...LOL!

That's ok boys, bring it on. If worse comes to worst with getting my patch ready, I'll just have to beat you guys next year. I've got a few secret weapon seeds planned for the patch next year. Yep that's right boys, if the girls don't beat you this year, enjoy the glory while you can cause the girls are takin it next year for sure.

(That's some big words coming from someone who's PB is 68 pounds LOL!)

Don't get to brassy. :))) We have had young ladies and guys under sixteen going 500 plus. Now that's a humbling fact. Four years ago Scottie's eight year old son had a 500 plus with just a little of dad's help.

After seeing this post, I began a little research. Much to my surprise there are alot more woman growers out there than I thought. I found out on the cruise that I was ranked 2nd in the world behing Geneva Emmons, and was fortunate to meet Cindi Glasier, and Sherry LaRue who are among the top 5 also. I went on to AGGC today and found approx 150 other females, and I am sure that alot of woman are not listed on this site. Being with these other woman on the cruise gave me a sense of teamwork between the woman and I see a need for us to get to know each other, and to share our ideas, possibly a newsletter for woman. What do you think? Brainstorm your ideas and e-mail them to me lets see what the GIRLS can do!!! I think the guys are already scared. [email protected]

I must say Heidi is one of the most intense competitors I have ever met and the rivalry between her and Chip is hotly contested every year. If you are looking for world class female growers for competition you don't have to look very far. Take about a 1.5 hour drive east and you will find one of the best female growers in the world Gerry Checkon.
I must say the female presence in this sport is excellent, proven by 2 world records. I look forward to the next female world record, now you have have something to talk about. Who will it be? Will we have a 2 time winner or a new face? There are alot more capable female growers out there than you may think.

07 is going to a great year for the ladies. Brooks you sure can inpsire competition LOL. Lauralie, I think your going to do great this year PB 68 lbs doesn't mean anything in 05 my pb was 183 I believe in 06 it was 812. I am sure that you can do as well if not much better.
