just thought id break up the party a bit. lets all have some wine with cheese and crackers and decide where that big pumpkin is coming from this year.

By the way gang. What are you planting and what crosses do you plan to make ?

Here at wally world farm we are looking at at least bringing a quinn werner line into a 1068, another sibbed 1068 because the 1450 had so few seeds this year, possibly a larue /1068 cross and a 1450 or 1502 for sure. plus a couple players we have not decided on as of yet.

our goal is get the maximum our plants have to offer. if we learned anything we know that "spring brings eternal hope"

How about crossing in a 986 Platte into your 1068?
986 Platte is 1068 x 735 Pukos. Both the 1068 and 735 were heavy in Joe's patch - 4% and 6% respectively.

I have at least 20 different seeds I'm dying to plant this year but I can't stop thinking about crossing a 1450 Wallace with my 1034 Zunino. A sibbed 1068 outcrossed into my ingrown orange seed line... could be big and orange offspring we're talking about here!!

Now all I have to do is beg, borrow or smoohsh a 1450 seed and my beauty and the beast disney fantasy will grow happily ever after...

On my list to grow this year is your 1034, I do have a 1068 X 1068 SIB, ......your wish could come true, I was looking into what would be the best pollinator for this, 845? 1005 Mobert was going to be the pollinator (723 Bobier X 846 Calai) let me know. I like that Mombert cross

Well, I don't much care for the 1005 Mombert. I grew it once and it threw odd shaped white wheels. The genetics are impecable, but it has a history of throwing everything under the sun. If you want to do a beauty and the beast type cross I would choose getting some knauss genetics in the 1034 mix so a 1068 sibbed would be more my liking...
