Manure is a complete fertilizer, but is low in the amounts of nutrients it can supply. The highest concentration of nutrients is found when the manure is fresh. As manures are aged, leached, or composted, nutrients are reduced. Fresh manure ( and urine) does however have a higher content of salts. Most people use "aged" manure to ensure fewer salts, and burning of plants. Fresh manure should not come into contact with plant roots, but in lieu of that, fresh is best! Start shovelin!
