I have a plant that has been in the ground for 10 days and is about 17 days old. The plan now is to dig it up and move it to another part of the patch so it can be a pollinator.
Here is the problem: it is approx. 2 ft away from the plant I want to use as my main this year. Any issues do you believe with damaging roots on my main plant?

I would use pitchfork, dig on furthest side from main plant. Only thing I see could go wrong is the pollinator plant could die of transplant shock.

the roots could have spread that far, but what is your option? just bite the bullet, the sooner the better

Hey my friend.........you can dig, cut it off, or pull it out, toss it on a compost pile and it will grow and produce flowers without any care what so ever. Your plan sounds doable to me.
