We got the same wind chill Ray, but only an inch or two of the snow. I was expecting that band to drop a little more south last night, but it never did.

Ray,
We had the coldest January in like 12 years or so. Now it is normal in the low 70's and high 60's in the daytime. Leaves are brown from a killing frost not seen in many years. It got to 11 F down here one night in Jan. for an area that went a record 1032 days in a row without a frost, that is COLD!

Prince Edward County is directly accross the lake from Oswego NY. We got dumped on on Saterday, snowed all day but only about a foot or so in the northend of the county. beautiful cold clear day on Sunday and today, although down next to the lake I hear conditions are somewhat different! Temp here today -15C (5F)with -25C (-13F) windchill. Brrrr.

To date in Littleton, CO these are my numbers:
So far the snow totals at the Wiz patch have been:
7", 3", 9" 30", 22" 10", 1", 4", 4", = 90" to date. Current as of 2/5/07.
Coldest day was -18 last week. We are in a Warm weather pattern now as the eastern coast folks get a dose. Everyne here is still freaking out about the Almanac talking about this big storm we are still supposed to get being bigger than the first two......time will tell.....

Today it was smelling like spring in the air here in colorado, first t-shirt weather we have had in months, but there is still tons of snow and where there is no snow the mud and muck is here to stay for a while. The bad news is I saw two tree rats close to the patch today, I guess they can somehow survive months on end well below freezing in horendous conditions, oh well. I wonder how much cold is needed to put a damper on the powdery mildew and bad insects that will emerge by planting time ?? If the cold did not put a dent in the tree rats, then maybe it will put a dent in the pest and disease problems we have been plagued with in recent years....

Horrible cold but no snow here to speak of. Our water reserves in the mountains do not exist for Spring run off. This could be a difficult summer....if this no rain or snow pattern continues.

It is Kind of weird to hear about how rough the winter has been in parts of the country. Here in New England winter just started about 3 weeks ago. Saturday was our first storm, we got a whole 3 inches. But it sure is cold now!
