I remember sending dues to Bruce Kaye, I loved those huge Newspaper type newsletters.
Also a lot of articles from Al Eaton in them.

gus saunders to this day still in my opinion produced the best newsletters ever published. bar none.
it was printed on regular newspaper type stock and foremat.
gus and his guys were true pioneers in the hobby.

The World Pumpkin Confederation was formed in the fall of 1982 and the first newsletter published with 1983 World Weigh-Off results in January 1984. There were 14 "new members" listed in the newsletter to include Hugh Wiberg & George R. Brooks Jr. Owen Woodman of Falmouth NS Canada was on the cover having won the world weigh-off with a 481 lb pumpkin. Ray Waterman

i was a member of the oslga but i was a member of the wpc first in 89 i still have some of those oslga trading cards they used to mail out
