Last year didn't have much sucess. This year very motivated to win a contest at work to grow the biggest pumpkin. I have purchased & read Langevin's two books. Any advice would be wonderful. Main concern so far is finding good seed and pollination. Thanks

Number 1 get good seeds. Go to the seed request link on this page and get some geneticaly strong seeds. Add lots of manure to your soil and bury your vines. Check back through out the season for more info.
Good Luck

IF looking for seeds send me an e-mail @ [email protected]. These aren't from my pumpkins, but ones I have collected this year.

I agree with Desnowskeer, you gotta have good seeds that have a proven track record of heterosis (hybrid vigor). Although If your soil is not all it can and has to be you will still have limited results. Shade, feed, and water your babies regularly and you will do well.
P.S I have some great seed that I will give away to you or anyone else. E-mail me @ [email protected]
