I would plant my whole seed library considering I could hire 20 people and pay them in alternating shifts. I would have to make a film to train them first as to the proper procedures and methods. I would have to get a huge housing development next to the patch for their resting and meals, and who ever grows the biggest would get the credit and everything else that goes with it including lifting it with my help if I only had a tractor......waaaa...Good nite....it's a long cold winter.....sweet dreems.......

forgive me but i gotta toot my own horn and go with our own seed, the 1068. no one to my knowledge has ever gone wr back to back and with the same seed to boot. that is our goal for 2007. impossible ? probably, but what the heck, when you grow you might as well shoot for the stars. after that its all gravy anyways.
i still feel that seeds reproduce better when grown back in the patch they were developed in. plus you can do multiple plantings of your own seed giving an edge over other growers.
also --- when you consider the several very large 1068 offspring in 2006 that for one reason or another would have challenged the 1,502 but did not meet the scales, one must conclude that under the right conditions, even in a patch other that the wallaces ,that this seed has the best shot to break the world record again in 2007.
no disrespect intended cause i know there are some really good growers and super crosses out there.
these growers and their favorite crosses will be gunning for a new world record as well. ( odds are one of them will do it )
good luck to all our friends ----- pap

disregarding those who listed two seeds, and "wait till next year", who perhaps a bit too optimistically listed a seed from a pumpkin he hasn't grown yet (sounds like my financial planning), 26 different seeds were listed. 1370 was the first choice of 6, and 1068 was the first choice of 4. Nobody listed my 120 Trout'05 est. as their first choice -- go figure!!

The 1068 stands alone at the top and it has only scratched the surface. The mountain is just going to get higher and higher. Pap, back to back WR's sounds like a plan to me!

Sure, I would grow a 1068 wallace but would grow a 705 stelts or a 723 bobier. I grew them both and they both didnt germinate. So, I had them in my grasp but never saw their leaves.
