If my soil has a Ph 6.7 and my Potash(437 lb/A), Magnesium(594 Lb/A) and Calcium 5249 lb/A are above optimum and my Phosphate is below optimum 183 lb/A. What should I do. Is bad to have the calcuim, Mag, Potash to high?
In my other garden the Phosphate and Calcium were to high 953 lb/A and 8278 lb/A and the magnesium was to low 309 lbs/A. My Ph in this garden was 6.9. The organic level in first garden was 4 % and the second garden was 5.4 %.
Anybody help would be great.
Thanks

Strange, I'd figure the pH to be a lot higher with that much Ca present. What did your ag extension agent say?

The test indicates what is there not what is available. I would just go with the basics: Manures (very old for spring use) Low number organic ferts like 4-2-4, Azomite or Ironite for remineralization, cornmeal and of course a nice application of Black Strap Molasses to fire up the biology early with spring tilling. You could safely add fish into the nursery area with early tilling.

doc's right. Keep the organic level and bio activity up as well with some good old-fashioned molasses. Good bio-activity will break the elements down to usable form.
