I even have a couple of donated seeds already destined for next years raffle or auction TBD.....Thanks TK!
One can post here or email me direct my address is in/on enough post office walls by now..... My questions,
For weigh offs that involve tomaters, watermelons, canteloupes, longgourds....we will have an official scale/judges, but is there any other criteria. Ill have some research to do for state records and state fairs...but as far as GPC goes......??'s
We will have some type of recogniton for the veggies prob just official bragging rights until we get more folks wanting to dedicate time.....

I'll help look into the records thing, The Colorado State extension office may be able to help, along with the Colorado State Fair.

KISMIF..........Keep it simple make it fun. Print out a nice certificate on photo quality paper the first year. Maybe a few prizes but tend to the basics. Scale, PA system, forklift and a place to fly rain or shine. If you can manage to attract the local media fine. If not provide them with photo and winner of the top prizes or certificates. The magic of the pumpkin will carry you through. You stage it no matter how simple and they will come. Sort through all kinds of suggestions but KISMIF for openers.

Oh! You would in my opinion need the word Giant Pumpkin in your begining public image or name. It is in fact the love of pumpkins that your public will first be attracted to. I call it the magic of the pumpkin. It is real! You might in fact have a three pound tomato or ninety inch gourd. They will enjoy that too but the pumpkin is always the alure and attraction for the average person who may get excited because of your presence and activity.
