The largest peat pots I can find here locally are 3 inch. Is there anywhere online I can get larger pots? I would prefer 6 inch or bigger.

I found 5" peat pots at the local nursery. Problem is they are no deeper than the 3" pots, and they get pretty gimpy when damp. Hope someone has a better answer for you! Duff

Look at Hollands landogiants for 4" peat pots, Joel shows on his video a way to put them in larger pots before transplanting them to decrease the stress on the plant. Order the video its great and you'll get some great seeds also. Kirk

Use quality potting soil in a larger container that has a removable bottom and when it's time to transplant, carefully remove the bottom lid and transplant ... I find that peat pots hold the root system back 2 much. AL

In 2004 and/or 2003 I gave a step by step photo account as a "HOW TO" using 1.75 gal. ice cream containers. This pot is fine for holding the seed up to ten days without any root turning. The container is plastic skin lined. It is gentle to the root mass when removed. The cost is free for your time.
