Remembering back to my very first post in these forums, '04. I recall most members who had replied to my thread were more interested in poking fun at what I had written as my location in my profile rather than the content of the thread. Most of the replies were off topic banter. At the time I was experimenting with growing a hydroponic AG. Tremor really stood out in my mind as being the most polite, friendly and on topic. He gave advice and had a genuine interest in the discussion.
Now that I have begun reading the forums once again, I find that he's still one of the members which helps to make this site a community, rather than just an informatonal bulletin.
Tremor, Thank You, your a stand up guy in my book. PS. still workin on that hydroponic pumpkin.
Happy Holidays to you and your family!

I would like to add my vote of appreciation here as well. The think that sets Steve's posts aside is that they are EVIDENCE BASED... they are not based on hearsay and rumour. Good on yer mate!

Steve is a valued member of the pumpkin community, who's always been there to lend a helping hand no matter who it is. He's always stepped up to the plate when we were looking for speakers at the International Seminar as well. This sport is definately richer with him aboard & we thank you for all help & assistance over the years. Take care & Merry Christmas to you & your Family from all of us here at the GVGO.

I have had the pleasure of corresponding with Steve several times over these past few years. I first asked him to do a presentation at the Niagara seminar a couple of years ago. I asked Dave McCallum about him doing a talk on fungicides in 2005 and Steve eagerly agreed. Well Steve talked and lectured like a pro. He literally hit the ball out of the park.
He is the great energy of this dynamic site, always providing correct and concise information. His points are backed up by the links he includes in the many, many topics of discussion he contributes to. His soil advice and insight leaves for hours and hours internal sight searches here at BP.
Steve really helped me to understand the science part of this hobby and to research for more answers. He has been a wonderful mentor and friend.

remember what Rocky Balboa said in his most recent return to the big screen ? "ITS NOT HOW HARD YOU PUNCH , ITS HOW HARD A PUNCH YOU CAN TAKE" I have known Steve for several years now and find him to be a very well mannered ,educated, energetic individual. Steve has taken his share of "hard punches" and, through it all always kept everything in perspective. a great addition to the gpc steering committee.
