On an area where the stem is connected to the fruit on my young pumpkin, it has gradually developed a split. Not too big or deep, but it grows a bit and I have been putting Captan on/in it. I noticed the other day though, as it gets a little bigger, there was that "pumpkin gel" stuff developing in it. Are these juices formed to help heal the pumpkin??
