For openers...........thirty feet by fifty will grow two but sixty the long way would be more comfortable. There are folks here who do amazing tricks in very small spaces. If you are shooting, for the big pumpkin big time, give them the larger space. I had a neighbor who grew a two hundred pound one, in a four by twenty foot flower bed.

p fan,,,Wayne from Kentucky here...I have a 25 x 100 patch that I try and grow 5 plants in. That makes 500 sq. ft. ea. Idunno either...hope this helps??? LOL Peace, Wayne PS...heard over and over 20' main vine is normal...12' on each side for secondaries...500 sq ft??? Doc, is correct though, if ya read the diaries, you will see examples of GIANTS grown in "real" small and sometimes "goofy" areas!!!As Jimmy V, says..."don't ever give up"!!!!
