my largest plants are about 8ft now with 3 and four ft secondaries. i have been culling the females to date. i know everyone has a date in mind as to when to pollinate but what do you guys think is more crucial, how far out you pollinate or the date that you pollinate?

I polinate just as soon as the females start to open. You can always cull them later.

There have been lots of big pumpkins pollinated late in July. Don't stress, you are only a week to 10 days behind.
