If I have a extra pumpkin, I'll be there. I planted 5, so I hope to have an extra that I don't blow-up. $1000 for 1st place is real good. I hope to see a good turnout for the 1st year. Will this become a annual weigh off Russ? Also, send me the info ASAP so I can get it put into the GVGO newsletter before it gets printed.
Phil
PS. GVGO members-newsletter will be out within the next two weeks.

Dave, many details are still to be worked out. I would definitely want the weigh-off to be fully sanctioned by the GPC. I am still working on some more prize money which could further boost the pot some more.
Phil, Thanks for your tremendous support in helping me develop this event further. The GVGO has agreed to help support the event.
I am pleased to announce that two levels of weigh off entry fee structure will be available to all growers.
Option 1 > Silver, $25 weigh off entry fee with no GVGO membership.
Option 2 > Gold, $35 weigh off entry fee and GVGO new or renewal membership for a year in the GVGO. All membership benefits including the annual seed give aways, news letters, patch tours, and seminars from some of the worlds best growers.

Russ. As well as the above benefits of Joining the GVGO it must also be remembered that Members get special access to the AGGC. The Gold entry just has to be worth every Cent and is a great deal. Good luck with the Weigh-Off Russ and i hope you have a great turnout for the inaugural event.

Russ Its always great to hear about a new event. Our 4-H weigh off is September 8th. There may be some of the kids that would like to bring one out the following weekend. I will promote it to them! Good Luck John

Mike, yes the AGGC access is indeed a very special bonus for GVGO club members. Phil and Mike teamed up with a great combo membership offer.
John, good luck with your progeny and wish all the 4-H kids good luck.
Mike F. Yes, as with all weigh offs this one is fully open to all, even if you happen to be from Iowa.
