Recently i just got back from my vacation with my family. When i came back home i was sadly surprised to find that my pumpkin plan was almost totally dead. The portion of the plant that was dead i cut off. Surprisingly the part that was alive is doing actually quiet well. Other than wilting all the time because of the extreme heat and not having many roots it is perfectly good. This morning i actually had a nice looking 5 lober on it. I pollinated it and i really hope it takes it might not get that big but hey its still a pumpkin.

Did you have any of the heavy rain while you were on vacation? Could partial drowning be the problem?
