My 1016 Daletas turned into a flat vine and I am having a hard time getting pumpkins to set on it. I have managed to get 1 out of a dozen or so pumpkins to pollinate. Looking through other peoples posts on flat vines it appears that this is common but what I cant find information on is whether it is just hard to get a set on the flat vine itself or if the entire plant is hard to get a pumpkin to set on it. I haven't had any success on getting a pumpkin to set on a rear secondary yet either. Is this common also?

Gourd, I dont know if you have done it this way or not but I like my chances better pollinating before 5am in the morning when its still dark outside where I have to pry the female open a little and dump pollin inside. I havnt tried this on a flat vine yet though but maybe this might work for ya bro.
