Hey Poppy,
This is my area of expertise. Dont do anything to that hardrive yet. What operating system is on it? XP?? Win98. What one needs to do is take it to a operating PC, perferably a PC that has XP and install the disk drive in that system as a slave, or a secondary hardrive. One hopes that the BIOS recognizes the drive. If so one can get information off of that drive and drop it onto the Hardrive in the good system. That way you can copy docs, my favorties for bookmarks. If you had XP on that hard drive you would want to copy your user profile. A thumb drive works great for moving files this way. Ill email you

So glad, my second son called tonight saying he got my HD to run once as slave & has been able to retrive the info off it. Gary, I think he read your e-mail but won't amit it. Anyway, I am suppose to have my information saved on new HD, so i AM HAPPY. NOW SINCE THIS IS MY LAST YEAR! I am going to do something I wouldn't normally do. I have growing a 1068 Wallace # one at present, 898 Knauss # 2 at present, 845 Bobier # 3 at present, 842 Eaton # 4 at present and last but not least a 1420 LaRue. As this seasons fruit will not be affected by breeding. I am going to ask you, my fellow growers, what crosses would you likely grow from these plants. I will breed them (if possible) to whatever you think will do the best. I believe this a fine selection of of seed .I am lucky to have these people as friends willingn to give me their seed. So tell me what you want for seed in 2007 LOL Poppy

I like the 898 x 845, 845 x 898, 1068 x 898, 842 x 898 & 1420 x 898. I'm sorry to hear that this will be your last year growing. How come your giving it up? I hate to see a grower pack it in. Anyway, take care & all the best to you this season. I hope you get a new PB.
