I have a femal that is straight up , it has a nice long elbow to it, i need to get it to the ground will the natural weight if it as it grows pull it down or do i need to roll the vine? Please refer to my diary for a pic of what I mean. Thanks for any help, storys or ideas.

I had the same problem on the 1068 pumpkin in the pumpkin shack. Carefully roll vine over the course of a couple days during the warmest time of the day and prop up vine with rocks until the next roll. All I can say is go easy and slow and if it is cold, don't attempt it. You don't have to go all the way, the weight of the pumpkin as it grows will guide it to terra firma.

I looked at your diary pic and want to assure you that is normal for a fruit of that age. It will slowly come down by itself. You should consider cutting off the leaf, tendril and secondary vine if the pollination takes. Good luck!

I looked at your diary too and I must agree with Don. It will start to lower itself in a few days. Not to worry, it looks great!!
