Hi: does any one knew what the three measurements were on this huge pumpkin? and how can i find some of thease seeds? Im a first time grower and using the holland 629 seed, I grew 1 plant with 1 pumpkin on it weighing in at 599.8 with the tarp. This is such a fun sport, hope i can be a heavy hitter some day like some of you {1000+.} All my friends and faimly even the wife laughed when I told them back in july that this pumpkin will be over 500lbs,it might look like a basketball now but you wate and see. I told my friends that helped lift it to bring their back braces next year. Frank

There were no seeds from that Checkon pumpkin. They were all immature.

Frank, Gerry Checkon's 1131#, 1999 world record pumpkin measurements (according to the AGGC database) were 163 - 105 - 105 for a total of 373" estimated weight was 996 pounds. I hope your pumpkin is so big next year that you need a crane to get it out of the patch and then your friends can leave their back braces at home and just watch. Good luck to you in 2001 GG
