where can i find the product "zero tolerance" in the south- eastern new england area, specifically r.i., just quoted a price of $270. for 5 lbs of root shield... are these products really necessary?

Dear wannabe I don't know the conditions or soil type or even the insects on R.I. But as long as you have a good insecticide and fungicide and follow the directions and follow a regular spraying program. you shouldn't have any problems. I even know alot of growers that grow organticly.best of luck mark

wannabe, if your'e adding alot of organic matter, it's not a bad idea to use a product like root shield, i think mellingers sells it for like 40 bucks for a pound, or is that half a pound? cant' remember. i used it this year, and was okay with the diseases. it also depends on if you've had trouble with root diseases in the past. zero tolerance is like the lysol of hte gardening world. i dont' see any reason why you would need that, its bigtime expensive
