I have a problem, I'm in southern california and something really small is putting holes in my leaves. This has never happened before. It's not a snail or slug, I sometimes see really small bugs or insects(we are talking not much bigger than needle head)on the leaves, does anyone know if they eat leaves or what is eating my leaves? What do you use to combat this, Thanks

Jim, I am from S. Cal. too. Usually the villian is snails or slugs in the night. Sometimes it's earwigs or sow bugs, go out there at 9 or 10 PM with a flashlight and check the leaves. The best defense is to tightly cover the small plant at sundown with a pot or barrel, but don't forget to uncover it in the morning. Try spraying with Isotox or Diazinon and put snail pellets out.
