Hay all! I finally got my two patches with hoop houses completed. There was a price to pay, anyone else experience finger burn? I am not sure if it's the PVC glue or the soil but man I am peeled!!!

PS the seeds are just now starting to poke out!!!!!!

Well, if you use Bag Balm, it will be easier on your hands, but your hoop house will fall apart.

gads... im laughing but i know it aint funny. If you cant peel that glue off your hands without peeling your skin with it, then try soaking your hands in some terpintine or other flammable liquid. That should loosen it up. goood luck!

Hay Gang, It isn't the PVC glue or Primer, I have been using that stuff since I could help pull weeds (30+ yrs now). I think the problem is Ph level related. Alkiline soil seems to cause my fingers to peel and blister. Momma says "Wear your gloves" but I Kinda like the feel of the soil on my pinkies.....

Hard or regular cider? I kinda like to soak my liver in the hard cider after a long week end toiling in the patch :]
