My dog Sadie always goes to the patch with me,has never caused any problems that I knew of. Wrong. What I thought was a ground hog that ate the bottom off one of my 150lb pumpkins was actually Sadie. I caught her with a muddy face and paws tonight and realized she had gone after another 150lber. I think she is jealous of my time spent with my pumpkins Al and Joe.. Actually she is a good mouser and I think that there might be mice living under the ones she attacked.

As it turns out there were rats living under both pumpkins Sadie tried to move. Sorry Sadie!

As always - dogs are still man's best friend (pumpkin grower's too). Why don't you get Sadie a little kitty to play with? Or at least another dog, sounds like you are probably 11 short of a team right now any way. Good Luck Amy and keep up the good work Sadie!
