I have a large number of pumpkins which have already been harvested and had pin-point sized dark spots on their flesh. Since picking them many of these spots have sent what look like waves of circular discoloration from the spots. A couple have began to rot at these points. Any Help???

It might be some type of mold but it does sound like the start of rot. I wash my "boys" off with a bleach/water solution. I just pour a couple of onces of bleach into a bucket and then fill it with water. Then I wipe down the pumpkin with a rag dipped in this solution. I do this before the weigh-off to wash off fungicides and to kill any molds starting to grow on the surface of the pumpkin.
