Through my research, I have noticed the experienced growers recommend only one pumpkin per vine. Over my 3 years of growing, I have noticed that each my plants produces 2-3 main vines. Now the question becomes, Does a smart grower allow one pumpkin per main VINE or one pumpkin per Plant? Thank you in advance for your advice!!

Hi weedpikr!
I've got lots of weeds that need picked if you need any! In response to your question: It all depends on what you call a "smart grower!" Most heavy hitters end up with one pumpkin per plant, even though some have grown as many as 3 over 600# on one plant! If you have lots of plants, I would risk a few with one fruit on each plant. A "smart" grower may keep a second as a back-up( kind of like an insurance rider!) Choice is all up to you, dude!
