Are plant growth enhancers allowed, or is this a form of cheating or illegal at the scales. If it's natural supplaments than it should be fine right? What's your take on this!

Just about every giant pumpkin grower knows this "secret" even if they don't know it. The elements found in this product are found in seaweed.

"Enhancer" is a marketing term used to capture money from folks who are a couple generations removed from the farm.
"Growing Secrets" are things folks with white collars never learned but spend momey on when they hear about it in the magazines, internet, radio, or HGTV.
It's all good commerce.

I wouldn't trust enhancers like this. It's probably just a fake substance and the magic igredient is water with some coloring and smell stuff. I am sure seaweed products are not fake and I would trust them. I have just been interested in natural things you can find that will benefit your plant and pumpkin growth. I have heard that Willow branch clippings squished up in water are a natural rooting hormone. Never tried it, and is probably not true like feeding your pumpkin with milk.

Actually Gibberellic Acid is very real & does help plants grow at different points in their lives. But it can also upset the apple cart if used at the wrong rates or times.
I remember Sean (MR T.) using this stuff & raving it about it. I can't say as I ever remember him disclosing the timing, rate or frequency of application though.
What disturbs me is that like "Super-Thrive", the manufacturer won't list the guaranteed analysis so who knows how much GA3 is really in there?

I have given up completely all the magic liquers one sees in certain catalogs backed by only very tricky communication skills. At the same time we must all be aware that the cream will rise, to the top and become tomorrows very fine product.
I saw acres and acres of pears treated with Fertrell's product Surround. Got to their catalog and at least read up on this product as well as another called Storox. Both have potential good for our hobby, in my opinion.
The Fertrell Catalog gives good solid descriptions based on growing facts. It is our job to determine which additives and enhancements our hobby might benefit from, when we consider using them. This is one, of several, very honest straight forward healthy product and how to use them, in your grow. They sell no magic "hot stuff" products.

my first year with pumpkins, but I can tell you all I have seen first hand that the effects of Gibberellic Acid, and other plant hormones, are very real on some other plants.
some for making stumpy plants, some for developing long runners, some for fruit growth, some for veg cycle, some for root development.
do your research if thinking about toying with growth hormones.

But also be aware of the possible consequences. Mr. T's 900#er that had the GA applied to it did not have any good seeds in it. He send me over 25 of the best looking ones, and none would germinate.

do you guys know at what timepoints it was applied? (was the fruit set already?)
I had planned to use it this year, but I figured if I ran into problems (which I did) then I wouldn't know if it was due to the hormone or some other conditions since I'm new.
