Last week before holidays my fathers one pumpkin had something take a bite out of it pretty deep into the skin ( look at Davempsr Diary ) well before we left it was healing nice, we just arrived home tonight and i just got back home from his place looking at his fruit and the one with the mark has a bit of black mold forming in that area
whats the best way to help this fruit out as its still growing fast and good.
should be wash the area down to get rid of the mold ?
or just apply some fungicide to the area and hope for the best
or peel the mold off and apply some sulphur powder mixture in hopes she continues to grow

if it were me, i'd scrape off the layer of mold, then wipe off any excess moisture and apply a fungicide.

I think what happened as its a pretty large junk missing was my father had landscape material ( black ) pegged up over the fruit to shade it, well the wind knocked it down while he was at work and it was a really hot day and the landscape material ended up laying on the fruit on that spot which caused it to burn. it dried up nice then started to crack in that area and now mold. we cleaned it well with a 50/50 bleach solution this mourning and now have it covered up to dry out if it keeps cracking I may end up makeing some sulphur past and applying and hopeing for the best.

My son has a similar problem; sunburn blisters that grew some mold after 3 cloudy, rainy, humid days. We scraped the spots clean and poured on a little daconil. I will try to get pictures in my diary so you can see how it goes.
