I would like to know why my baby pumpkins will abort after I move them (to put styrofoam underneath). Is it the oil in my hand? They are a perfect white ball and in a day start to whither and die.

oil on your hands shouldn't make a difference. something else is causing them to abort.

Temperatures above 85 degrees, to much nitrogen and just plain onreyness.

Thankyou so much. I guess I need to leave my "babies" alone until they get to be the size of a soccer ball.
