Bill Foss has a nice 1125 growing and his son is taking time lapse footage of it. Very interesting to watch!

is it common for leaves to droop like that everyday in that area? I don't think thats normal... Specially not at that age.

cool vid though

Ben, I saw it and thought the same thing, almost got dizzy watching the leaves go up and down. Thanks again for the seed, I need to learn to water more consistently...my 1075 Daletas was going good...and at about 20 days and putting on approx. 20# per day and increasing it split open at the blossom end...no caulking would have saved this one...big enough to put your fist through. Thanks for the op. to try it and if you have another seed for a nu-B, drop me a line and I will send a bubbler!!! Thanks again for the learning experience. Peace Wayne

Ben,
I haven't looked at the footage yet, but MN has been unusually hot this summer, until just recently. One of my plants had flagging leaves whenever the temp. got over 90 degrees, or so. MN can have some wicked temperature extremes. It can hit over 100 derees(not to common though), with high humidity, and we can hit -40 degrees in the winter(not too often in central MN), but some northen parts of the state get that and colder in the winter.

Geese! Another way to enjoy this business of growing AG's.

Am I doing it wrong? All it says is "connecting" and it never connects.

Very nice!
Ben,
It took awhile to download for me. I have a dial up connection. I was on another website, when it was finished downloading. 7-10 minutes, I'm guessing.

Ben I think the leaves are actually turning to increase surface area to the sun. You can tell when it going to rain here thgey stand straight up.

Watch the time lapse of the Gerry 16 (July 13th post). You will see the leaves on this plant droop too.

I should mention though that the weather in Buffalo has been unseasonably warmer this year, with 27 days to date over 85. June 22 was 93, a record breaker.

probably just doesn't get as warm here, that often.

Thanks for all the kind remarks on the video. There are several other videos that are also very amazing. Yes, all my plants have some flagged leaves when the temp goes over 85. That is part of the reason but the main reason the leaves on the left are flagging is, I cut the trailing vine main off at the pumpkin. Therefore the leaves on your left are only being supporting by their own roots, plus growing another pumpkin about 200lbs making it more susceptible to higher temps. In other words the leaves on your left are not connected to the 1125 you see growing.
I left the trailing vine and another pumpkin grow as an experiment to see how much growth is lost when terminating the main at the pumpkin. Making the growth shown on this video all that more amazing.
