Help! I'm a novice pumpkin grower and having problems with pumpkins rotting off vine shortly after flowering

up here we had a lot of problems setting fruit when it was really hot out. I'm sure it's brutal down there. Try keeping them in the shade. Are you using too much Nitrogen maybe?

I did use Nitrogen in the correct amounts I thought. Maybe it was too much. It is hotter than hot down here, high 90's. Thanks

high 90's will do it. they don't like to set fruit in that heat, even if you do pollinate them. do you know how to pollinate? you can let the bees do it, or read about it in the How To Section
