I pulled my plants and am solarizing my garden this summer so on looking forward to next season I need to do some maintenance on my water supply and could sure use some ideas and suggestions on how to remove (mud) from my 4000 gal rain water tank which has built up over the last few years. I have a tank buried on the low side of my driveway that catches all the run off rain water; this tank is on its side & has two 4" pipes sticking up through the ground. I am looking for a cheap way of getting the silt & mud out of this tank, digging it up is out of the question as it is buried under my wifes garden padio. Any and all ideas or suggestions will be appreciated but must be low cost.
I thank you; Bill

I would call a septic guy..Tell him what you want and I bet it would not cost alot of money.

septic guys are getting expensive around here (unless you know them). I might look into a small dirty water / trash pump that could handle a bit of crud in the water. might be able to rent one cheap. only problem is where the discharge line is going.
