How long can a pumpkin survive after it has been cut off the vine? I was just wondering because if we get a hurricane in August or September and it destroys the plant if the pumpkin would last until the October 1st. weigh off.
Thanks, Kevin

If its kept cool and out of the sun...Some have kept them close to eight months. Although I would just cover the pumpkin to keep it dry and leave it on the vine. Field Jack O Lanterns last longer left on the vine.
