If I have a pumpkin here in southern B.C, being the northern-most part of the area called 'the Pacific Northwest', and I have a pumpkin with an OTT of 227 inches growing about 23 lbs a day currently, what (barring any major accidents, windstorms, early frosts, disturbances in growth, and other dangers) can I expect (approximately) my weight to be come October? I know that the climate here is such that we have a lot longer growing season that other areas, and I am wondering how long a pumpkin growing at the rate it is now will continue to grow for, and what I can expect in general. Non-pumpkin growers who see my pumpkins keep saying, 'How big do you think it is going to get?' and I can't answer them, as I have never grown a pumpkin here before. So I hope maybe some local growers are able to help me out on this.

You didn't say how old it is,if it is 30 days could end up about 800 this is of course just my not very local guess.

Oh, sorry, it is about 35 days old or so. It got pollinated somewhere between July 2 and July 4th, just before I got back from a trip, so i am not sure of the exact day (open pollinated).

probably not over 500 lbs, most likely 400 to 450.

The closest records I have to that are for my 575 03 it was 99 ins c @ 35 days and carried on gaining 2ins c per day for another week.

I emailed Dave Pley, and he thinks it could get well over seven hundred at that rate and age. Hope he's right, and I must admit, his estimate is way, way more local. It's actually on this continent!! Anyways, thanks for replying anyways,
