Noticed my wheel shaped pumpkin today putting pressure on the incoming vine in front of stem has a kink on the top of the vine, the kink doesn't seem too deep and only on the top of the vine. So I propped the pumpkin up to relieve the stress. Will this effect the growth now,as the pumpkin is growing well?

just be carefull that the kink didnt actually break the surface of the vine. i just lost a real nice one from a similar situation. It rotted started at the stem vine connection and is now working its way back toward the crown. id put some fungicide on the area just in case.

How old is the fruit and is the fruit growing over the stem? Got a pic?
