I think Don Chambers holds the record at 1019 grown on the 1156 Larsen.

They list both the 790 and the 1019. I'm not sure how the records work for DMG fruit as he did receive an official weight. Don's a friend of mine and is a great guy who has a shot at another monster this year. Go Don!

OFFICIAL record is 709 A DMG can't be an official record, fruit must be solid

Kyle, I don't claim to know everything, that's why I said I wasn't sure.

I have been to Dons house a couple of times. In fact I drive right by it nearly every day. I haven't stopped lately to check things out, but plan on it sometime soon. Brooks is right though, with luck 790 is going down this year, and with a LOT of luck 1019 as well ;)

Monty, You've got two good ones going. I believe the official record will fall and wish all growers the best on breaking that record of mine for a damaged one. Records are made to be broken. My goal is always to beat my own records in my garden but who doesn't like having a state record. Good luck to those in WV and all states in the Great USA. You're making me work too hard Monty.....LOL ;) Don

I have seen your diary Don, ya can't fool me ;) You have some good things going on as well. I would love to stop by sometime. Every time I drive by I try to look and see if you are in the patch, but it's hard to see from the road. Let me know when a good time is.
