here something new as I fight against those damn Vine borers..the stem on one of my pumpkins is oozing a clear fluid.....and no its not me as I check the measuring tape each day(sic humour)...what is this ...what causes it...and should i be worried....the pumpkin is still growing at this point although the damn Vine borers may have put a stop too any hopes ....

do you get cucumber beetles up there? is there any color to the ooze?

The stem ooze is normal with giant pumpkins. Nothing to worry about.
