I get a regular stream of reqeusts for pumpkins, out of season, or early in the sesaon. They are primarily for photo shoots and new product demos.
I post the requests along to the this list snf bigpumpkins.com. Then, I hook up growers with requestors.
I'm told by growers that this is a very lucrative business......supply and demand. I was told by one grower that he got $100 for a few pumpkins.
Here is feedback from one appreciative requestor. I thoguht you'd enjoy reading it:
Bob,
The pumpkin show was a great success!!! Thank You!!
The contact from San Jose was able to help, we purchased 6 large pumpkins and believe it or not they were very orange.....
I really appreciate all your help!
Sincerely,

I am new to pumpkin growing and selling. What is reasonable to charge for pumkins? I was "practicing" this year with some smaller pumpkins with the intention of trying to grow a giant next year and was monitoring the site for tips. I didn't intend to get into this yet, but it would be a shame not to help someone out when I have pumpkins available.
