can anyone tell me the best way to grow a pumpkin fast as the shows are only six weeks away and i havent got any growing yet.

There isn't a fast and proven way, specially in your climate conditions. You could put up a greenhouse over your entire plant, with some kind of climate control inside of it to produce optimum conditions. Not very realistic at this stage of the game. I thing you should just hang in there with what you got and look forward to next year.

If you haven't notice already, you gotta have pretty thick skin around here sometimes. Most of these growers are pretty nice. Keep askig your questions and welcome on board.

I'm no expert but I'd try a super phosphate fert like 0-47-0 what do you have to lose?

Have you even started the seeds yet? Your post is a little vague in that area. If you haven't started seeds yet, it's simply too late. If you have plants with females ready to bloom you could get a few hundred pounds. What do you have? Give the growers here a little more information.

Pollinate a female and terminate that vine and evry vine on the plant immediately...if its set its gonna take off...if it doesn't set you take the fall off.

thankyou all for your input,i have about five plants,have had many female flowers,have been trying to pollinate them,some have rotted off,some just not pollinated,not been feeding any nitrogen,maybe its the horse and cow manure the roots are sat in.rich. [email protected]
