Channel 10 news came out today and did a news story on my 950 boyton pumpkin. It was so much fun. They told me it could go on some national stations as well in the next few days. So if anyone sees the story, it's me. My pumpkin is at 660 lbs day 39 and is on a pace for 1000 lbs estimated. It's mind blowing to me! The southern california record I believe is 977 by Chris Anderson, so I'm hanging on to my hat because we could challenge the record if she hangs together. Have a stem split, but ok so far! And I thought my season was over after loosing my stump, amazing. Jimmy

I heard I was on good morning america today, didn't see it. wow, this coverage is more than I could ever have dreamed of. Ok, for the official record please, someone clarify to me, what is the official record for southern california? So the 977 was not here huh? It would be fun to know the record so I can see where I end up:) Thank You. Jimmy

Wow Jimmy, that's great exposure!
I've enjoyed reading your diary, regarding it. It must be very exciting. I hope it keeps packing on the pounds. Best wishes.

Good job Jim. You looked like a natural on the tube last night ;-)
If anyone deserves to get a big pumpkin it is you. You've had a rough couple seasons with gophers and disease and not to long ago it looked like another season lost with your stump rotting.
I am very glad for you. Hope you make 1000!

Hey Ben, (Hotpumpkin).....you're second in line buddy! ;-)
