I am wondering if the benchmarks for pumkins are the same for squash. I'd like to hear from other squash growers on this season's growth. Thanks, RE in Missouri

A good question? I have heard it mentioned by some of the well seasoned hitters that Squash can sometimes be heavier than the chart. With the AGP becoming heavier each year I don't think this is still true. I suspect, the Benchmark would be a pretty close indicator for the greenies.

Yes, the benchmarks do apply to squash as well. We'll make no discrimination between the two colors when collecting data.

I think that only estimated weight should be used for the data, because a 1100 pound fruit that only estimated 900 is kinda misleading when thrown into the data
