This is new territory for me.
What is your experience of fruit that started out very fast, would you rather have 25" @ 10 days.

I have Day 10 data on 18 fruit over 1000lbs. The largest circumference is 33.5". Not sure if this is an indicator or not, but I share your position, having 2 fruit that surpassed 33.5"

Only ever had greater than 30 at day 10 in the field, never had one in competition. Good luck holding it together. Just remember this is a marathon, not the 100 meter dash.

I guess I'm saying I would rather have a Kenyan than Michael Johnson or that other American sprinter thats got the 100 world record.

go by your area and if its normal for your patch......if you have one equal or better than previous top fruit's in your patch at 10-20-30 days, then hold on for the ride..........

Don´t the torpedo shaped ones get a big cir. very quickly? If you have one and go by the circ. measurement, is it reliable?

Mine is at 27# at Day 7, on pace for 36"+. Shape is round, and rounder. Definitely NOT normal for my patch nor a regional thing here...holding on for the ride here, at least for now.

I meant 27"cc, not 27#....oops.

916 Golat was 19% heavy and it's pollinator was 16% heavy....sure hope those thick walled genes passed along the line :0)
